The department is comprised of 20 full-time officers and a contingent of between 10 and 15 part-time officers. The department is supplemented during each academic year by student patrol staff who assist DPS officers in various operational tasks. Officers are on duty 365 days a year and provide immediate response to all types of emergencies on campus. Campus community members are encouraged to report all crimes and public safety related incidents to the Gettysburg College Department of Public Safety (DPS) in a timely manner either by phone (717-337-6911 for emergencies, 717-337-6912 for non-emergencies) or via our Community Concern Form: http://www.gettysburg.edu/about/offices/college_life/care/submit-a-concern/ Life or death incidents should always be reported to Adam's County Control first by dialing 911.
