Tonality Music Therapy and Rainbow Rose Center are partnering to offer a free-of-cost, music therapy group centered around supporting and exploring q***r identity through music. Groups will include exploring q***r artists and musicians, finding and using our voices through music, songwriting, and creative exploration. All identities are welcomed and celebrated!

The group meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month starting April 30th. Email reminders will be sent out the day of group, please check the email with description of group and reply if you plan to attend. New Tonality Music Therapy Groups

Hello all! I hope everyone is staying warm during this chilly winter week. I wanted to reach out and share about the support and therapy groups Tonality Music Therapy is offering over the coming months. With the holiday season upon us, registration to these groups makes a great gift to yourself or a loved one!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Parent Support Group: this is a free/donation based support group for parents to share ideas, make new friends, build a support system, and navigate through all that parenting entails. We meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6-7 pm with in person and virtual attendance options. Attendance is not mandatory, and you’re welcome to come whenever the group fits your schedule. We also have potential for onsite childcare for those interested!

🎼 Musical Unburdening Therapy Group: Calling all those in a caring profession, first responders, teachers, veterans, active duty military, nurses, doctors, aides, CNAs and more! This therapy group is focused on providing support to those who spend their lives caring for others. Recover from caregiver fatigue, learn how to balance your life, share community with others with similar lived experiences, and give back to yourself. This group is $150 for 8 weeks of high quality group therapy, running Wednesday nights 6-7 pm from January 7-February 25.

🧠 Neurodivergent Adult Support Group: This is a free/donation based support group for neurodivergent adults to build community, learn about resources, and engage creatively with others. We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:15-8:15 with both in person and virtual attendance options. Attendance is not mandatory, and you’re welcome to come whenever the group fits your schedule! We also host monthly events on weekends for the group that are season focused and participant led.

😴 A Measure Of Rest Therapy Group: The winter season comes with many holiday joys and excitements, but it also can be draining. Feeling burnout, exhausted, constantly behind, undervalued? Then this group is for you. Connect with others going through similar experiences and work with board certified music therapists to find creative ways to center yourself in your daily life, build resiliency, and reclaim energy. This $150 group runs for 8 weeks on Thursday evenings from 6-7 pm starting January 8th and running through February 26th.

🎶Conducting Resiliency Therapy Group: Calling all kids ages 5-12. Come learn how to build resiliency, learn about healthy emotional expression, build coping skills, make new friendships, and learn how to engage with music in new ways with our brand new kids only therapy group! Conducting Resiliency is $150 per participant, with a sibling discount of $120 per sibling registration. The group will run Fridays from 5-6 pm January 9-February 27.

All groups are run by experienced board-certified music therapists. The adult therapy groups all have virtual or in person attendance options. If you have questions or would like to register for a group, please reach out to tonalitymusictherapy@gmail.com

Tonality Music Therapy welcomes a new music therapist! Hannah has experience working with a wide range of clients, finding enjoyment in practicing her skills in a variety of different ways. She finds particular interest in working through challenges related to the intersecting identities of neurodiversity, trauma, and chronic illness. Through her work as a neurologic music therapist, she also has experience working with stroke recovery patients and groups. Hello all! I hope everyone had an awesome Halloween yesterday! I wanted to send a reminder about Tonality’s family friendly Halloween event this afternoon from 1-3. This interactive walk through experience is free and is fun for all ages. The office is on the second floor of the Mid Penn building, directly across from the library and next to the courthouse in downtown Gettysburg. If you still have some Halloween spirit left, we’d love to see you!
