Evelyn arrived at Genesis Gettysburg Center in February of 2024. She had a previous BKA but no longer had her prosthesis and was unable to return home. She transitioned to our facility for long term care and for months experienced several changes in her medical condition. She was recently back in therapy services and with the help of Aspire prosthetics and orthodics, was fitted for a new artificial limb. She began using it last month and was able to resume walking with minimal assistance and a rolling walker immediately. She has now progressed to distances of 25ft x 3 with contact guard. She is also able to Donn and doff the prosthesis on her own. Donna is very pleased with her progress and grateful to everyone that has helped her be successful.
