Had to represent our logo in Greece, the origin country of the word “Ethos”. Here it is spelled ἦθος and pronounced “Ee-thoss”. It means character, guiding morals, and it is where we get the word “ethics”. It is a concept developed by the philosopher Aristotle.
We went to the site of the academy he studied in, run by his teacher, Plato. There wasn’t much to see there, but it was neat to feel the history of the thoughts developed there that guide what we do today.
Fun fact: came up with this idea for our name years before she was even on our staff!
