Shaun graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Athletic Training. After spending a year as an intern in the Sports Medicine department of the Chicago Bears, he was accepted into the Physician Assistant program at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, where he earned his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.

Tater is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and holds an additional board certification as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois State University in 2000, graduating cm laude and receiving the Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence. After five years as an Emergency Department nurse, he completed his Master of Science in Nursing in 2007.
