Employee Spotlight ⭐️⭐️⭐️

In our of Alzheimer’s Education Week we will spotlight our memory care specialist, Megan Elsman.

Megan will commemorate six years of employment at St. Barnabas as their Memory Care Specialist and Music Therapist in March!

She feels grateful for the opportunity to work in an environment where she is valued and encouraged to utilize her creative skills.

Her degree in Music Therapy from Slippery Rock University has been instrumental in her success. She finds the most rewarding aspect of her job is incorporating music into activities, making them more meaningful for our residents.

St. Barnabas’ commitment to ongoing education in Alzheimer’s and dementia care is also appreciated, allowing her to obtain certifications such as Certified Dementia Practitioner and Support Group Facilitator.

Outside of work, she values spending quality time with her best friend and husband, John and their dog Bentley. She is enthusiastic about Elvis, coffee and shopping. She has a passion for musical theater and singing in her church choir. Her favorite color is leopard print and she loves all things pumpkin spice!!!

We appreciate you Megan, and we are so grateful to have you here at Beaver Meadows! 🩷🩷
