The last planetary parade of 2025 has begun – set your alarm!
From now through August 20, six planets will line up across the eastern sky just before sunrise in 2025’s final planetary parade.
Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will all make an appearance. Four of them – Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury – will shine brightly enough to spot with the naked eye. The distant ice giants, Uranus and Neptune, will need binoculars or a telescope.
On August 17 and 18, a thin crescent Moon will rise near Jupiter and Venus. By August 19 and 20, it will sit right between them – a stunning sight you won't want to miss.
Pro tip: Set your alarm and head outside about an hour before sunrise. Look east, find a clear view, and enjoy the show.
Don’t miss your last chance in 2025 to see this rare alignment. Who’s waking up for it?
