If brushing your teeth feels like climbing Everest, this one's for you.
You’re not lazy. You’re emotionally drained.
🧠 Chronic stress wears down your executive function — the part of the brain responsible for planning and motivation.
What helps?
✅ Break tasks into micro-steps
✅ Use visual cues (post-its, checklists)
✅ Rest before you're depleted
Beating yourself up isn’t the answer. Grace is.

Time is not running out. You are not behind. Your healing has its own clock. ⏳ Trust your pace.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like panic attacks. Sometimes it looks like:

Snapping at people you love

Avoiding emails

Binge-watching & zoning out

Feeling tired but wired

Be kind to yourself. Awareness is step one.
🌱 Therapy can help you recognize these patterns and heal what's beneath them.

😰 Dreading Mondays? You’re not alone.
Here’s how to ease the Sunday Scaries:
1. Soft Structure
Prep your Monday clothes, breakfast, or to-do list. Reduces Monday morning panic.
2. Create a Ritual
Sunday = your time. Whether it’s a warm bath or comfort show, end the weekend with intention.
3. Question the Fear
Ask: “What’s actually making me anxious?” Often it’s one meeting, not the whole day.
Mondays aren’t the enemy — unpredictability is. Routine brings safety.
💬 What’s your favorite Sunday night ritual?

📣 PSA:
You’re not lazy.
You’re not unmotivated.
You’re dysregulated.
Our brains can’t focus or plan when we’re in fight/flight/freeze mode. Before you shame yourself, ask:
Have I eaten today?

Have I taken a real breath?

Do I feel safe?

Start there. Self-compassion is always the first step.

🎒 Back-to-school stress is real — and not just for kids.
If you're navigating new routines, big emotions, and the occasional meltdown (yours or theirs 🙃), here are 3 therapist-approved tips to help:
🧠 1. Name the feeling
Help your child identify what they’re feeling. “It sounds like you’re nervous about meeting new people. That’s okay.”
📅 2. Preview the day
Go over what the day will look like. The unknown is often scarier than the known.
🤝 3. Regulate together
Model calm by doing breathing exercises or stretching before school. Kids co-regulate with their adults.
🧡 Transitions are tough — be gentle with yourself, too.
