Our Village Concepts of Auburn community hosts an annual BBQ for Auburn’s National Night Out! 🍔🎉 A big thank you to the Valley Regional Fire Authority, Battalion Chief Kevin Morehart, Councilmember Lisa Stirgus, and our neighbors from the City of Auburn for spending the evening with our residents and team. We’re proud to be part of the Auburn community! ❤️

Summers at Village Concepts of Port Angeles are the best! ☀️ Our residents love strolling the walking paths of our 7 acres of park-like grounds and our shaded courtyard is the perfect place to chat with friends or have a BBQ picnic. Marketing Director Anthony says they often spot deer wandering through or blue heron taking a dip in their fish pond! If you stop by for a visit, don't forget to check out our majestic fountain (it's spectacular)! ⛲😍

🎉 We celebrated Village Concepts Communities' 50th anniversary with our amazing residents and staff! Village Concepts has been proudly family-owned and serving seniors in the Northwest for 50 years. We’re honored to be part of the Village Concepts family and to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside our sister communities, residents, and team members. We had a special lunch, cake 🎂, music, shared memories, a special letter from our CEO, and we even sang "We Are Family"! Enjoy some of our favorite moments from the day! The laughter of these two best friends often rings throughout the halls of Village Concepts of Bothell. They participate in almost every activity, make full use of the senior center next door, and enjoy constant visits from their families.

One evening, our Executive Director, Maria, came looking for one of them and couldn't find her. "As I suspected, she was in her best friend's apartment and I could hear their laughter from outside the door!"

When she entered, she found them lounging on the couch, drinking wine from coffee mugs, and discussing life. They invited her to stay and join the conversation, sharing wonderful stories about their husbands. It’s a perfect reminder that friends truly do make the best neighbors – and in this case, best friends make the best neighbors!

We had a blast hosting our garden party at Village Concepts of Gig Harbor! We welcomed business partners, guests, residents from a neighboring senior living community, as well as our own residents and team members. Everyone enjoyed gourmet dishes, strawberry lemonade, and lively tunes! 🍓🎶 It was such a delight. The highlight of the day was when Mayor Mary Barber joined us for a Q&A with our residents. A big thank you to Mayor Mary and everyone who attended!

Our residents at Village Concepts of Gig Harbor truly love the outdoors 🌞 and there’s nothing better than spending a beautiful day outside having fun! We made the most of the beautiful weather with a little basketball and some golf swing practice ⛳. We love our courtyard!

Our Village Concepts Communities love ❤️ summer in the Pacific Northwest, especially our residents at Village Concepts of Sedro-Woolley! You can often find them sipping sweet tea under the giant umbrellas in their courtyard or packing a picnic for a day trip to Little Mountain. This recent trip was extra special-our Activity Director, David, said that it was Mabel’s first time visiting Little Mountain! 🥰

We hope everyone is out and about enjoying this beautiful summer weather!☀️🌿 Our friends at Village Concepts of Fairwood recently took a special outing to visit West Seattle's famous troll, Bruun Idun. According to local lore, this whimsical sculpture was designed to sing to the orcas. 🐋 It was such a memorable day—our residents are still talking about it!

We were honored to welcome American Legion Post 236 Gig Harbor to Village Concepts of Gig Harbor for a beautiful and moving Flag Ceremony this 4th of July 🇺🇸. The ceremony included the ritual of raising the new flag and paying tribute to the Veterans in our community. We are truly grateful for their service and their commitment to all that our National Flag stands for ❤️.

We recently kicked off our new “Meet Your Neighbor” luncheons at several of our Village Concepts Communities! 🍽️ These smaller gatherings in our private dining rooms are a wonderful way for residents to get to know one another and make new friends. These introductions often lead to new walking buddies, card game partners, and meaningful conversations. After all, friends make the best neighbors! ❤️🏡

Once a month, we host a Get to Know Your Neighbor luncheon with our management team at Village Concepts of Gig Harbor. We randomly select four residents to enjoy lunch together—and today, Tina, our Executive Director, had the pleasure of dining with Joan, Judy, Bruce, and Marlene. 🥗 They chatted about their careers, families, and answered fun questions about their favorite childhood memory. Each resident walked away having learned something new about their neighbors—and our team! What a wonderful tradition for building community and connection. ❤️

We were so delighted to welcome the residents of The Lodge At Mallard's Landing across the highway from us for our High Tea here at Village Concepts of Gig Harbor! The staff at The Lodge were so helpful, and we had a wonderful time talking, making friends, playing an icebreaker, and of course, drinking tea and eating delicious desserts. Thank you so much to The Lodge and Loreli for helping make this event such a success! We'd love to do it again sometime.
