This month, we honor the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26, 1990—a major milestone in the fight for civil rights, inclusion, and accessibility.

As advocates for our patients and PA colleagues with disabilities, let’s keep pushing for meaningful change—inside clinics, legislation, and culture.

🛠️ Ways You Can Make a Difference:
📧 Email elected officials—disability rights are non-negotiable.
🗣️ Talk with, not over, disabled coworkers & patients. Ask what matters—and support them.
🧠 Challenge ableist language (yes, that includes the R-word—replaced by “intellectual disability” in 2010).
📚 Teach the next generation using tools from Today.com, HuffPost, and Cincinnati Children’s.
