Dear Patients and Colleagues,

It is with great difficulty we are sending this letter to notify you that Mt Rainier Clinic and Rainier Medical Spa will be closing their doors on February 4th, 2022. Due to emergent health conditions, Dr. Russell Kolbo, DC, ND and his representation have decided to relinquish building ownership and sell both practices.

The new acting management has given staff an end date of February 4th, 2022 so that they may move forward with the plans for the building. We are doing our best to get a hold of our patients to prevent further inconveniences; however, we have limited staff. Please use our website for the most up to date information.

The continuity of your care continues to be our staff’s priority. Please visit our websites to find a list of referrals. We encourage you to also contact your insurance for recommendations of providers in your network.

You will find our HIPAA compliant authorization form enclosed with this letter. These forms can also be accessed on our websites www.mtrainierclinic.com and www.rainiermedspa.com. This form is necessary to release a copy of your medical records to you or a new physician. Please complete the form, and return it.

After the close of each practice, signed medical releases will be directed to a HIPAA compliant medical record custodian company. We will update our website once we have a contract with a records management company so that you may continue to access your records. Please understand, Mt Rainier Clinic and Rainier Medical Spa will each require their own release as they are separate businesses.

Saturday, October 9th, 2021 Rainier Medical Spa will be CLOSED for a mental health day. 🗣

We have been so fortunate to remain open during the pandemic and continue to provide care for our patients. In order to maintain high quality of care, Dr. Kolbo recognizes that our staff, simply put, needs an opportunity to unplug. The persistent challenges presented through the pandemic have caused high stress, anxiety, and fatigue among our staff. 😅

Rainier Medical Spa staff appreciates all who have treated us with kindness, understanding, and patience while we adjust to a rapidly increasing demand for services. We are grateful for the opportunity to help you on your health journey, and thank you for giving us a long weekend to rest, recharge, and return on Tuesday, October 12th ready to hit the ground running! 🙏

Infusion Nurse Wanted!

Role and Responsibilities

The IV Therapy Nurse provides and supervises intravenous infusion care to patients and is a resource for IV related problems or procedures for the clinic. A wide range of general nursing skills as well as skills specific to IV Therapy are required for this position.
• Combine IV nutrients according to the providers protocol
• Initiate venipuncture and monitors proper IV flow
• Adhere to and enforce clinic policies in regard to IV starts and disconnects as well as tracking of patient vitals.
• Monitor venous access lines frequently to prevent problems that could affect delivery of IV fluids such as infiltration and to ensure fluids are flowing at the prescribed rate
• Document relevant data in patient chart
• Consult with provider regarding frequency of lab tests to determine if adjustments are needed in patient treatment plan and to track effectiveness of treatment

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
• Current BLS card
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Attention to detail

Recent IV Therapy experience and IV Therapy certification
