CTI is a therapist owned pediatric Occupational Therapy clinic located in the cities of Gig Harbor, Olympia, and Bainbridge Island, Washington.

CTI is a therapist owned pediatric Occupational Therapy clinic that provides evaluation and treatment for children ages birth to adolescence. CTI provides a wide variety of services to our pediatric clients and their families. Goals are individualized for each client, but the aim for all is to improve children's abilities for the 'occupations' of school, play, and family life. At CTI we value relationships, support, and quality in a fun environment. When we work together we learn from each other, which is in turn energizing. We are a joyful place that cares for our kids and families like they are one of our own. It is no accident that our team is great as not only do we encourage each other's growth, we encourage creativity and innovation to make our place like no other.

🧱✨ Block Party at CTI Pediatric OT! ✨🧱

At CTI, we love finding fun and engaging ways to work on important developmental skills — and Block Party is one of our favorites! 🙌

This colorful, creative game challenges kids to build, imagine, and guess using small blocks, which helps develop:
🔹 Fine motor skills – manipulating small pieces strengthens hand muscles and improves dexterity.
🔹 Visual-spatial skills – planning and building structures boosts spatial awareness.
🔹 Executive functioning – kids practice problem-solving, sequencing, and flexible thinking.
🔹 Social skills – turn-taking, teamwork, and communication make it a great group activity.

🦖 Fossil fun in the kitchen! 🍪 Today in OT, we combined sensory play with a cooking activity by making fossils out of dough! Pressing toy dinosaurs and nature items into the dough gave kids tactile input, supported sensory regulation, and—most importantly—brought lots of smiles and creativity.

Cooking meets prehistoric play = sensory success! 👏🧠✨

We’re launching into the weekend like this awesome kiddo on the stomp rocket! Not only is this activity a blast (literally!), it’s also a fun and therapeutic way to build:

Our kiddos have been working hard on these colorful creations — and while it may look like fun (and it is!), pearler bead projects are packed with therapeutic benefits:

🖐 Fine Motor Skills – Picking up and placing those tiny beads builds finger strength, dexterity, and pincer grasp.
🧠 Attention & Focus – Kids stay engaged for extended periods as they follow patterns and carefully plan their designs.
💖 Emotional Regulation – This calming, repetitive activity promotes patience, persistence, and pride in completing a project from start to finish.

We’re so proud of their creativity and hard work — every bead placed is a big step in their development! 🌈💪
