I always get asked from my clients if I can program their regular workouts (since their used to me sending them their correctives). Leveling up this past weekend with Nuerokinetic Therapy Level 3! 💥 What a fun-filled weekend with some brilliant bodyworkers from around the world! This community doesn’t cease to amaze me with extremely intelligent & easy going, fun practitioners which is one of the many reasons why I love this community. Learning is always fun, but geeking out & sharing knowledge with cool ass people is an absolute blast ☺️Everyone is so hungry to further their expertise and to REALLY understand the body which just keeps my hunger to learn… conintously growing! 🌱

Feeling really grateful to have had the opportunity to meet David, creator of NKT, & spend some time with him! He is a funny ass dude & his passion to continue to build our community and help us change the way we look at the body to help heal others is inspiring. It’s certainly not black or white… & what he’s been able to teach us, is quite genius. A very brilliant man.

Im sure at some point of your life youve experienced sharp stabbing pain at your heel. Maybe its worse in the morning or after you’ve been on your feet for a while….

2 million Americans per yr are affected by Plantarfasciitis! Thats a lot!!

Dr Google said to —> stretch the calves OR roll a ball on the bottom of the foot….you know, 30 seconds at a time, 3x/day.

Probably got you temporary relief, but didn’t solve the issue 😵‍💫

I had a client just come in who wasnt finding relief doing these things and we discovered he had L5-S1 radiculopathy (aka nerve compression or irritation in the low back) which innervates the bottom of the foot and was feeling similar symptoms as “Plantarfasciitis” according to google!

Ive also seen compression of the tibial nerve which also commonly assimilates symptoms. Pro tip: find the root cause of dysfunction. Sometimes heel/foot pain could be from dysfunction in your gait pattern and over use of certain muscles. Testing can figure out which muscles and/or which muscles may be truly causing your “plantarfasciitis” pain.

LOW BACK PAIN 😬

Did you know L5-S1 (where your lumbar spine meets the sacrum) is the MOST operated part of the spine?

Often times this is caused by myofascial compression of this joint and uneven sacral base (probably due to muscles or ligaments). NKT allows us to figure out which structures might be influencing this!

Attended the Integrated Manual Testing & Palpation (IMTAP) Class with Thomas Wells in San Francisco last weekend. Fine tuning my skills to assess facilitated, inhibited, & locked muscles as well as more manual muscle testing & assessments! As usual, I learned a ton! We all need FLEXIBLE and STRONG hips to sit, walk, dance, play sports, have sex… SO many things! ⁣⁣

Make sure those babies are moving strong & freely so you don’t get hurt, feel younger, have less pain, less stiffness, less inflammation, & can do more activities!⁣⁣

The hip joint SHOULD HAVE one of the most amounts of movement than any other joint in the body! However, MOST ppl lose a lot of their ability to rotate as they age…not because their old, but because we don’t USE them like we used to!⁣⁣

Think about how toddlers move their hips…⁣⁣

& then think about how YOU move your hips 🥹⁣⁣

Here I’m working on gaining more external rotation and then STRENGTHENING those new ranges of motion (b/c whats flexibility without being able to use it???) NOTHING. ⁣⁣

📍Improve your GOLF SWING⁣📍

🏌🏻‍♀️To have a GREAT golf swing you NEED to have the ability to rotate…and then the ability to rotate strongly. ⁣

🏌🏻‍♀️If you’re chronically tight in your lats, pec, sides, hip you won’t be able to rotate so well & it will probably feel very weak 😬😳 ⁣

This drill not only helps strengthen, but if you do it right, it can also help you increase flexibility as well! ⁣
