Frank Simoncini, DO, FACOS, a Urologist with Southeast Valley Urology

Get to know Urologist Dr. Frank Simoncini, who serves patients in Gilbert, Arizona.
Dr. Simoncini, a full service general urologist, treats all types of male and female urologic problems. However, his emphasis remains on robotic-assisted urologic cancer surgery & high-intensity focused ultrasound for prostate cancer.
He works alongside Dr. Shaba at Southeast Valley Urology, an expert urology practice committed to providing the highest quality care to patients throughout the Gilbert, Arizona area in the diagnosis and treatment of urology-related conditions. The doctor-duo offer a wide range of urologic services including vasectomy, treatment for urinary incontinence, infertility & sexual dysfunction, BPH, prostate, bladder, and testicular cancers & more.
Recognized as a top genitourinary prosthetic surgeon, Dr. Simoncini is experienced in pe**le implants and artificial sphincters. He remains dedicated to Southeast Valley Urology’s in-office surgical program where minimally invasive treatments for BPH such as UroLift and Botox for overactive bladder are performed. He also performs Saline TURP and Greenlight Laser Treatment for BPH.

Holding an academic position, Dr. Simoncini is an Associate Professor at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he has trained multiple medical students.
A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS), he is a member of the Phoenix Urological Society, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association.
Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Simoncini graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific – Western University of Health Sciences in 1990. He then went on to perform his internship at Detroit Osteopathic/Bi-County Community Hospital.
Furthering his education, he completed his residency in general surgery at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Madison Heights Campus. This was followed by an additional residency in urologic surgery at Beaumont Hospital – Farmington Hills.
An expert in his field, Dr. Simoncini is board-certified in urology by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). The AOBS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
A cancer survivor, Dr. Simoncini understands cancer treatment as a physician, of course, but also as a patient. He has appeared on numerous episodes of Caring For Arizona on Channel 3 in Phoenix.
Having surpassed 250 UroLift procedures to help BPH patients, he was awarded the Center of Excellence for the UroLift Procedure.
