Community Department Spot of the Month!

This month, the community department is celebrating a colorful story about finding your way to shine! “A Little Spot of Talent” teaches life skills in a fun, visual way. The book helps build confidence, inspires creativity, and supports social-emotional learning, empowering each person to discover and celebrate their unique strengths.

Life skills are for everyone, and this book inspires us all to create a better you!

LIFE’s Community Group had a fun day of connection, inclusion, and community at Gilbert's Adaptive Resource Fair by Gilbert Parks & Recreation and Gilbert Town Hall! We’re so glad you all came and stopped by our booth and took the time to explore all the local resources, all in a place that celebrates and supports individuals of all abilities. We are grateful to the Town of Gilbert Adaptive Recreation Program for making this possible!

LIFE’s Pathways to Employment group is VERY excited to bring everyone’s beloved Snack Shack back up and running on campus! They’ve used this past week to train, retrain, and ease back into the groove of things and started off the week with a special of hot dogs and chili dogs! 🌭😋

Last week, LIFE was excited to welcome one of our longstanding community partners, Gilbert Police Department, to our campus! Recruits had the opportunity to engage with our environments, make new friends along the way, and learn about LIFE and the developmental disabilities community we serve. Most importantly, GPD’s recruits gained enriching knowledge about how to create a safer and more inclusive world for everyone of all abilities.

This is a valued collaboration that we’ve proudly maintained over the years, and we look forward to another meaningful and purposeful experience for everyone involved.
