What does a good day look like for you?

Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! This year, Mental Health America encourages us to reflect on what a “good day” looks like. Not only for ourselves, but for our community as well, and what we can do to connect with and support others when we (or they) might need it most.

We received a sincere and heartfelt testimonial from a parent praising multiple members of our team regarding their expert care for her daughter Maiah, and it serves to emphasize why we do what we do. Receiving an unexpected diagnosis regarding a child’s development can feel overwhelming, bewildering, or worse, devastating.

But it doesn’t have to be. We want families and parents to know that they never have to go through the process alone. There are resources and people (very passionate people) in place to not only help you, but to help your child thrive. 🩵

Happy National Speech-Language Hearing Month! This month we raise awareness of communication delays and disorders, and the imperative role that Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists play in identifying, diagnosing, treating, supporting and advocating for those in need. Speech Pathologists and Audiologists can treat anyone from birth to adulthood, and across a wide variety of settings.

Communication is also not limited to speaking. Writing, signing, drawing, texting, typing and listening are all valid forms of communication! To learn more about Speech-Language hearing month, click the link below! 🩵🎧🗣️
