September is the month that has been established to bring awareness of gynecological cancers, which includes: cervical, uterine, ovarian and vaginal. The goal is to spread awareness within our community and homes. Please remember to schedule your annual and pelvic exams. Early detection is so important because every five minutes, someone will be diagnosed with one of these cancers.

It’s World 🌎 Breastfeeding Week! Help us support mothers who choose to breastfeed.🤱🏼 Benefits to breastfed babies include: lower risk of asthma, obesity, type 1 diabetes, ear infections, SIDS and diarrhea and vomiting. 🤱🏼Benefits to Mothers who breastfeed: lower risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. 🤰Although these are incredible benefits to baby and mothers, not all mothers are able to breastfeed or choose not to breastfeed and it’s okay!! There are safe and nutritious alternatives to mother’s milk. There are also different combinations of infant feeding: 🤱🏼 combination feeding - breastfed and formula feeding 🤱🏼 Pump feeding 🤱🏼 Formula Only ❤️ No matter how you feed your baby, the important part to remember is you are doing your best! You are building an emotional connection between you and your baby which happens overtime. Enjoy the time you are able to spend feeding them and enjoy the feeling of warmth and security, which are essential to your attachment.
