👻🎃 Welcome to the Haunted House of Women’s Health! 🏚️
Enter if you dare… but beware of what lurks inside 👀👇

🩸 In the basement, leaks drip like a broken faucet 💧
💋 In the hallways, whispers of pain with intimacy echo through the night
💀 The attic creaks with tired cores and “mom pooch” myths
🚽 The bathroom is haunted by constipation and bad toilet habits
🌕 Upstairs, hormone ghosts stir up hot flashes and sleepless nights
🪞 And in the mirror room… body image shadows whisper lies
But here’s the truth — these “haunts” aren’t your fate.

They’re treatable, preventable, and completely normal to talk about.

At The Pelvic Docs, we help women turn their haunted house into a healing home. 💪✨

Your pelvic floor doesn’t have to live in the dark.

🏃‍♀️✨ Top 3 Tips for Running with a Stroller ✨🏃‍♀️

Running with your little one can be such a rewarding experience — 💕 But let's make sure you’re getting the most out of your run and keeping your pelvic floor, spine, and lower body happy, here are my top 3 tips ⬇️

1️⃣ Use a jogging stroller.

While regular strollers can work, they’re not designed for running — meaning more energy output 💨 and extra strain on your body. A jogging stroller helps keep things smooth, efficient, and joint-friendly.

2️⃣ Push with one hand.

This encourages natural trunk rotation, which supports your posture and helps protect your pelvic floor. You’ll notice less tightness, less leaking or pain, and better running mechanics overall 🙌

3️⃣ Run slightly off to the side.

If space allows, this keeps your stride more natural and prevents the stroller from interrupting your rhythm. Your body (and your pace!) will thank you 🏃‍♀️💫

👶❤️ Running with a stroller doesn’t have to be hard on your body — it can actually be a great way to move, connect, and feel strong.

“SKIMS said ‘add fake hair to your underwear’ and but your pelvic floor said ‘maybe let’s just… grow our own?’ 🌿

Your p***c hair isn’t a fashion flaw — it’s friction control, germ defense, and nature’s built-in cushion.

Fake hair: cute for costumes.
Real hair: good for health. ✨

✨ Meet the Newest Pelvic Doc ✨
Help us give a warm welcome to Dr. Caeley Brennan, the newest rockstar joining The Pelvic Docs team! 🎉💛

Dr. Caeley will officially begin seeing patients this September in our Gilbert office, and she treats both men and women with compassion, skill, and a whole-person approach. 🧠💪🏽

Originally from out of state, she fell in love with the Arizona sunshine 🌵☀️ — and is excited to call it home. When she’s not helping patients heal and thrive, you can find her dancing it out 💃 (she’s been a dancer most of her life!) or soaking up everything AZ has to offer.

We are SO excited to have her on our team and can’t wait for you to meet her! 💫

👇 Drop a comment to welcome Dr. Caeley, or share your favorite thing about living in AZ — she’s always looking for new hikes, coffee shops, and places to explore!

10 years ago, I graduated PT school and stepped into a world that would change me forever. ❤️

I was so navie, over-caffeinated (no change there) ☕️, and armed with a fresh set of Therabands haha 🎓🏋️‍♀️

Since then, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside thousands of patients, growing a clinic I love, and learning more than I could’ve imagined.

Here are 10 things I’ve learned in 10 years as a physical therapist (swipe ➡️)...

👀 And yes—please enjoy the throwback photos from PT school and early career life. We all had that kinesiology tape phase and way too many polos. 😅

To every patient, mentor, colleague, and friend along the way—thank you for being part of this journey. 💛

Here’s to continuing to grow, learn, and lift others up.

💜 Clinic Update: What’s Changing & What It Means For You

We’re committed to always keeping you informed and supported. Here are three important updates from The Pelvic Docs:

1️⃣ Casa Grande – We’re Expanding!
We’re thrilled to begin seeing a limited number of patients in our Casa Grande office starting June 2025. Dr. Calo will be leading care in this new location, and we’d love to see you there! Scheduling link is in our bio 💻

2️⃣ We Will No Longer Accept UnitedHealthcare
This decision was not made lightly. Unfortunately, UHC has not met the standards we believe our patients (and providers) deserve. Current UHC patients will continue care through the end of their plan of care. We also offer self-pay options for those who wish to continue beyond that point. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions 💬

3️⃣ Central Phoenix Office Is Closing May 30th
This one is tough—we’ve loved our Central Phoenix space and all the memories made over the last decade. But due to staffing and support needs, it’s time to shift. We’re excited about what’s next and the stronger community we’ll build because of it. Patients are welcome to continue care at our Motherhood co-location or Gilbert clinic.

We’re here for you—if you have any questions, DM us or email us at hello@thepelvicdocs.com 💌

🚨 “KEGELS ARE BAD” 🚨 …but are they really? Or is social media just feeding us fear?

Let’s set the record straight 👇🏼

Pelvic floor muscle training (yep, including kegels) has strong research supporting its benefits for all populations—postpartum, menopause, prolapse, athletes, and beyond.

🔬 Research-backed benefits:
✅ Postpartum recovery – Helps improve muscle function and support healing [(BO et al., 2021)]
✅ Menopause & aging – Reduces urinary incontinence and maintains strength [(Dumoulin et al., 2018)]
✅ Pelvic organ prolapse – Can improve symptoms and prevent worsening [(Hagen & Stark, 2011)]
✅ Athletic performance – Supports core stability and pressure management

So, are kegels bad? No. But should they be the only thing you do? Also no.

🏋🏽‍♀️ Pelvic health requires a full-body approach. Strength, mobility, breathwork, and functional movement all matter.

What we are sick of? Fear-mongering and blanket statements that confuse people and keep them from helpful exercises.

Instead of asking, “Are kegels bad?” Let’s ask, “Are they appropriate for YOU?” (Because that’s what actually matters!)

💬 Thoughts? Have you been told to fear kegels? Let’s talk 👇🏼.
