Happy spring!
I am pleased to announce that my office is again open for massage appointments starting next week! You can schedule an appointment by going to intunemassage.fullslate.com .
Our COVID-19 transmission rates have greatly reduced from their peak this winter and many of us (myself included) have been able to be vaccinated against COVID, which should help those rates reduce further, all of which is to say that it is a much safer environment in which to massage :).
My current rates are $105/hour. Already purchased packages and gift certificates remain valid for the amounts of time they were originally purchased for. A sliding scale is still available upon request, and sliding scale rates haven’t changed.
Things will be a little bit different when you come in for your appointment. Here is a reminder of some of the changes that will help keep us all safer and help us breathe easier (updated for spring!)
I’ve increased the maximum appointment length to 90 minutes!
I’ll be wearing a mask and face shield, and will ask you to wear a mask as well for as long as you’re in the building regardless of vaccination status. I will wear gloves if requested.
If your mask doesn’t have a good fit or isn’t a K94/KN95/N95 (or equivalent), I will provide you with a KN95 mask (but please wear what you have when you arrive!).
I’ll be keeping the windows open for ventilation, with a fan in the window and 2 HEPA-equipped air purifiers rated sufficient to change over the air in the room at least 12x/hour, so there will be some additional sound. Blankets and table heater are both available to keep you as cozy as possible! I’ll also be spending extra time sanitizing the room between appointments.
Building management has equipped our HVAC system with MERV 13 filters.
When you come for your appointment, please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment to minimize time spent in the shared waiting room. If you’d prefer, you can text or call me at (847) 347-2029 when you arrive and I’ll let you know when I’m ready so you can come right into the treatment room.
As always, I won’t charge a cancellation fee if you are feeling ill or if you have had contact with someone known or suspected of having COVID 19. Please let me know with as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Please observe the state mandates around out of state travel. Current guidelines can be found here: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order
Please don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions regarding massage or reopening, including questions about what went into this decision for me. I’ve found that the microcovid project is a useful resource and tool for helping weigh decisions about covid transmission risks in everyday life. I’m also happy to videochat to assist with self-massage or suggest stretches or exercises that might help with discomfort you’re experiencing. I completely understand if massage therapy is not in your COVID comfort zone and I hope to still be here and practicing when COVID is no longer a concern.
I hope that you are coping as best you can, that you are healthy, and that your loved ones are healthy and safe. I wish you time and space that are free from worry, and I wish you love and light.

Additional info:
I plan on also offering outdoor mobile massage sessions once the weather allows. I take the same safety precautions for outdoor sessions that I do in my office, and require masks be worn for sessions. I charge $150/hour for mobile sessions including setup and travel for a small radius around Cambridge. I charge a bit more if you're more than a 15-20 minute drive. Email me at Becca@intunemassage.com for further information or to schedule a mobile outdoor session.
Unfortunately I don't have the same control over fragrances and chemicals that I did prior to COVID-19. Cleaners come through multiple times a week and clean all surfaces with disinfectant and I don't have information about what exactly they are using. If you have concerns about chemical sensitivities, please email me and I would be happy to answer any questions I can.
