𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 is a type of cancer that occurs in the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus in the human female reproductive system.

Here are some key facts about cervical cancer:

1. Cervical cancer is often caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), and can be prevented with the HPV vaccine and regular screening tests like the Pap test and HPV test.

2. The number of cervical cancer cases has dropped by more than half in recent decades, thanks to increased screening and vaccination efforts.

3. In the US, about 11,500 new cases of
cervical cancer are diagnosed each year, and
approximately 4,000 women die from the disease.
