I wrote a letter to the editor of Gillette News Record this week regarding an article they featured on physical therapy clinics in Gillette (see original article below) and was rejected because it was a "personal attack". See for yourself and please share. This was my letter:
In response to ‘Physical therapy businesses deal with challenges of COVID-19 outbreak’:
Recently all physical therapy clinics in Gillette were interviewed regarding COVID-19. All clinics except one, a small practice in the heart of downtown, Saddle Horn Physical Therapy. The irony of not being interviewed is that COVID-19 has not altered how we conduct business. Saddle Horn was always meant to be a small specialty clinic that focuses on one patient at a time. My dream was to provide cutting edge treatments, many of which cannot be delegated. Equipment and tools have always been disinfected after each client and clients are not treated when they are ill. Our clients are like family and we promise them our best. The main challenge during the COVID-19 outbreak has been to reassure them that this situation does not have to strip them of their quality of life. We have a choice to keep going and make the best out of every situation. So we will do just that. To all of our clients that have entrusted us with their care, Thank You. You have kept our local small business going, no matter what.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephenie Kraycsir, PT, DPT, CIDN, OCS
Owner of Saddle Horn Physical Therapy
Pain and the need for physical rehabilitation and therapy don’t stop because something brings much of ordinary life to a standstill.
