August 31st is Overdose Awareness Day.
The Counseling Coalition is here to support and recognize those who struggle with addiction and those who have lost the battle.
We offer support in many ways:
Psychoeducation
Individual support
Intensive outpatient therapy (flexible schedule including weekends)
Relapse prevention
Assessments and referrals
Access to PORT (post-overdose response team) packets to include Narcan

Dr. Smith is back with The Counseling Coalition, LLC ! Great news!

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐀. 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐃𝐎 – 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭

We’re honored to introduce 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐀. 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐃𝐎, a compassionate and highly skilled psychiatrist with a strong 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡.

Dr. Smith began his journey at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2014. He went on to complete a general psychiatry residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida, and quickly advanced into a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry through a joint program with Larkin and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Smith spent three impactful years as an attending psychiatrist at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, providing dedicated care to youth and families navigating complex mental health challenges. His passion for rural mental health brought him to 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞, 𝐖𝐲𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, where he served the community for over a year and a half through Campbell County Health Behavioral Services.

Now based in Florida, Dr. Smith continues his work as an attending psychiatrist at a VA clinic—but he remains deeply committed to the Gillette community. He looks forward to reconnecting and contributing once again to the mental wellness of Campbell County and surrounding areas.
