In the last two months of 2025, the Community Health Foundation’s Hope Source Committee supported 14 neighbors facing serious mental health challenges, providing more than 12,500 in assistance.

Behind every application is a deeply personal story. Many of the individuals who reach out for help share that high deductibles, loss of insurance, or gaps in coverage make therapy unaffordable, even when they are doing everything right to seek support. It’s important to remember that not all insurance covers mental health care equally. Some plans limit the number of sessions allowed, deny coverage for out-of-network providers, or restrict the types of therapy many people rely on to heal. For a person already carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, grief, or depression, these barriers can feel impossible.

That is where Hope Source steps in—and where you make all the difference.

Launched in 2023, the Hope Source Program provides critical financial assistance for mental health counseling to individuals in Campbell County and the surrounding areas.

Wyoming’s mental health landscape only underscores the urgency. Our state continues to face one of the highest su***de rates in the nation—26.5 per 100,000 residents, compared to the national rate of 14.7. In northeast Wyoming, the numbers rise even higher, with a regional rate of 30.64 per 100,000 residents. Campbell and Johnson counties remain among the top ten statewide.

Your support provides stability, growth, and the assurance that when someone reaches out for help, we can say yes.

Together, we can ensure that mental health care is accessible—not someday, but today. Thank you for believing in this work, supporting your neighbors, and helping build a healthier, more hopeful community for all.

In September, seven of our neighbors—friends, colleagues, and community members—received assistance from Hope Source so they could continue their mental health care: $7,000 was granted.

For each of them, the stories were different, but the struggle was the same: the cost. Some had no insurance. Others were buried under high deductibles. And for many, the care they needed was simply more expensive than they could cover on their own.

In 2025 alone, nearly $57,000 has been given through Hope Source, ensuring that dozens of people in northeast Wyoming could keep seeing trusted, licensed therapists. This support makes the difference between care delayed—and healing continued.

Mental health care can mean the difference between just surviving and truly living. But in Wyoming, where access is low and su***de rates are among the highest in the nation, cost remains one of the biggest barriers.

Hope Source exists to change that. Quietly, compassionately, and directly, we step in where the system falls short—closing the gap so our neighbors can keep moving toward hope and healing.

In Wyoming, neighbors look out for neighbors. Together, with every donation and every act of support, we aren’t just funding therapy sessions—we are building hope, resilience, and the promise of brighter tomorrows.

My colleagues Andi Robertson and Agusta Lind were very honored to be featured in this episode of “A State of Mind.” Please take about 25 minutes and watch the episode about Gillette and the coal mining industry. We are grateful to serve this community!

Depression and suicidal thoughts plague coal miners in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming.

Move from where you are, to where you want to be.

We believe Clinical Excellence is supporting the entire process of change, not just about a diagnosis or symptoms.

For far too long, addressing emotional struggle, pain, addiction, and other challenges has been considered weak or deemed crazy. But the truth is: everyone struggles. Too often, we medicate those struggles with alcohol, drugs (legal and illegal), s*x, shopping, throwing ourselves into our careers, and checking out of life with our electronics (phones, computer, TV, and tablets), among other things.

One of the most powerful lessons that Wyoming Center for Clinical Excellence Therapists have learned about medicators is that you will never solve the 100 problems you have until you deal with the medicator problem. What is your medicator? How do you “check out” when life gets too painful or uncomfortable? And how does it impact your life, relationships, profession?

WCCE is committed to help you change your response to your struggles so you can reconnect with who you are and become who you want to be.
