This hit me today 💖😇💖
My therapist told me "Anger is the part of yourself that loves you the most. It knows when you are being mistreated, neglected, disrespected. It signals that you have to take a step out of a place that doesn't do you justice. It makes you aware that you need to leave a room, a job, a relationship, old patterns that don't work for you anymore. Learn to listen to your anger and make it your best friend. Then it'll leave." And that stuck with me forever.
It's a powerful perspective shift, isn't it? Anger's no longer this destructive force, but a protective mechanism, a call to action. It's telling you something's not aligning, and it's time to make a change.
I've found myself reflecting on this quote whenever I feel that familiar fire in my belly. What is my anger trying to tell me? What boundaries do I need to set? What changes do I need to make? It's become a guiding force, pushing me towards growth and self-awareness.
Your anger's not the enemy; it's a messenger, a catalyst for change. Listen to it, learn from it, and let it propel you forward.
