Having fun while introducing her to thick cover, she didn’t give up hunting until she found retrieve. I like to keep this fun and exciting to help them have a do not quit attitude.

Let’s talk about the off switch 🛑🐾

We talk a lot about raising dual-purpose dogs. Dogs that can give it their all in the field, then turn around and lay quietly at your feet like they’ve got nowhere to be.

That’s what we call the off-switch, and we breed for it on purpose.

It’s not just about being calm in the house. It’s about:
✔️ Sitting quietly behind the line while other dogs work
✔️ Relaxing in a kennel or crate
✔️ Turning “on” when it’s time to work, and “off” when the job’s done

It’s what makes a dog easier to live with, easier to train, and more enjoyable in both family and hunting settings.

We believe a good dog shouldn’t have to choose between being a partner in the field and a member of the family. They should be both.🧡

Bringing home a puppy is a big decision, and choosing the right breeder matters just as much as choosing the right dog.

Before you commit, ask these three questions:

1️⃣ Do you health test your breeding dogs?
Any responsible breeder should be able to show proof of genetic, hip, elbow, and eye testing.

2️⃣ How are your puppies raised and socialized?
The way a puppy is handled early on can shape their behavior for life. Ask what experiences they’re exposed to in those first 8 weeks.

3️⃣ Can I meet the parents or see where the puppies are raised?
Transparency is key. A good breeder has nothing to hide.
