Our Speech Therapist did it again! 🌼☀️

For Nurses Week and Nursing Home Week, she created this AMAZING artwork on our entrance windows for all to enjoy! Her creativity and talent continue to brighten our days and bring smiles to everyone who walks through our doors. 💛

Nursing Home Week: Memories in Bloom 🌸🌼

Yesterday at Barren County Nursing & Rehabilitation, we celebrated Barren in Bloom by having each department wear a different color to represent the beauty of teamwork, unity, and the unique role every person plays in making our facility feel like home. 💛💚💙💜🩷

Just like flowers in a garden, every team member brings something special that helps our residents bloom with love, laughter, and care each day. From Nurses, CNAs, Med Techs, to Dietary, Housekeeping, Therapy, Activities, and Administration — it takes every color to create something beautiful together. 🌈

Our Memories in Bloom Nursing Home Week celebration is a reminder that the memories we create with our residents and each other are what make Barren so special. We are grateful for this AMAZING team and the joy they bring to our halls every single day! 🌼✨

🎶🕺✨ Decades Day at BCNR was a blast from the past! ✨🕺🎶

Today we traveled through the decades with amazing music, laughter, and memories brought back to life! Residents and staff enjoyed 🎤 Decades Music Singo, a delicious 🍰 bake sale, and lots of fun prizes provided by our wonderful Administrator!

From classic tunes to vintage styles, every decade was celebrated in the best way possible. Seeing our residents smile, sing along, and reminisce about the good old days made today extra special. ❤️

Nursing Administration Spotlight 🌟

Meet Shanna Fisher, LPN! She is our TERRIFIC MDS Assistant and also our CMI & QM Rockstar! ♥️

Shanna graduated from LPN school in 2025, but her passion for caring for others started long before nursing school. Prior to becoming a nurse, Shanna dedicated 16 years as a CNA, bringing compassion and experience to every resident and family she served.

When Shanna isn’t at work, she enjoys playing disc golf and spending quality time with her kiddos! 😊

We are so thankful to have Shanna as part of our AMAZING clinical team at BCNR! And so happy she chose us to blossom in her nursing career 🌸👏

Meet Brooke Dilley, LPN — our OUTSTANDING Wound Care Nurse!

Brooke graduated from SKYCTC on May 3rd, 2023, and has been a nurse for 2.5 years. She began her nursing career in Med Surg and now excels in Wound Care, where her compassion and dedication shine every single day.

When she’s not at work, Brooke loves spending time with her children and enjoying self-care days! 😊 Caring for others has always been her passion and her “Why.” She LOVES JESUS and YOU and YOUR FAMILY TOO! ✨

We are so thankful for the heart, positivity, and exceptional care Brooke brings to BCNR each day! ♥️

Meet Jessica Scott, RN — our FANTASTIC MDS Coordinator and CMI & QM Rockstar! Jessica graduated from WKU in 2017 and has been a nurse for 9 years. Before becoming a nurse, she dedicated 9 years as a CNA, showing her passion for caring for others every step of the way.

Her knowledge, compassion, and commitment make her such an important part of our team at BCNR! When she’s not at work, Jessica enjoys going on long walks with her pug 🥰

We are so thankful to have Jessica as part of our Nursing Administration team! ♥️
