Y'all! We are so fortunate to have the remarkable Allegra Tiver joining us for a few incredible pop-up calsses(and hopefully a full time schedule spot come spring!

Allegra considers herself a student of yoga who also teaches, guiding classes with curiosity and care through a lens of learning and service. She first found yoga in her early 20s while seeking relief from anxiety, returned to the mat as a complement to fitness training in her 30s, and the practice soon revealed a pathway to integration, clarity, and well-being—an experience she is passionate about sharing with others.

Allegra is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) inspired by Katonah Yoga® theory and practices; she draws from studies in Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Bhakti along with Buddhism and Taoism. Her teaching weaves breath and movement, time and space to help students orient and organize, within and without. She emphasizes discernment, personal agency, and positioning ourselves to participate sustainably.

Orient and Organize:
Students can expect to spend time orienting and organizing themselves, referencing frameworks in the body and leveraging boundaries (eg, blocks, wall) for information, to create a container that optimizes body functions and sets up conditions for holistic health and well-being. Class typically opens with breath and slower movement to ground, builds momentum with more dynamic movement and sequences (note: options are provided to ensure accessibility for all), then winds down with resting poses and meditation. Class focus changes with seasons—based on corresponding elements and associated organs, as outlined in the five elements theory—but certain themes pull through dialogue year-round: polarities, patterns, repetition; microcosm and macrocosm; metaphors to orient in time and space; center and circumstance. Music backdrops are always mellow sounds, selected to encourage calming and centering.

If you have always been called to Reiki but haven't had the opportunity, this is your chance!
This workshop is for anyone interested in learning techniques to tap into universal life
force energy for self-healing and helping others. Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an
ancient healing technique for modern times. Reiki restores energy balance and vitality
by relieving physical and emotional effects of unreleased stress. Reiki (Spiritually
Guided Life Force Energy) is powerful, yet wonderfully gentle and nurturing. It supports
and complements any healing method a person may be using. Reiki is a method that
helps the body release stress and tension through deep relaxation.
Participants will receive a First- and Second-Degree Training Manual and a certificate of
completion of Reiki I and Reiki II training from the International Center for Reiki Training.
In these classes, you will learn:
First Degree- The history of Reiki, what Reiki is and how it heals, the human energy
system, how to use Reiki for personal healing and to assist others, practice time giving
and receiving Reiki.
Second Degree- The second-degree symbols and how to use them, how to conduct a
complete Reiki session, Japanese Reiki Techniques, Gassho meditation, Byosen
scanning, and Enkaku chiryo.
Cost for both Reiki I and Reiki II is $350.
The workshop will be taught by Carmen McDonald, an Advanced Holistic Nurse-Board
Certified (AHN-BC) and a Usui Reiki Master Teacher certified since 2009 by the
International Center for Reiki Training. She has been a registered nurse for 45 years
and worked in a variety of roles. She has applied holistic healing principles to patients
with chronic illnesses, recognizing the mind, body, and spirit as pivotal components of
healing. Carmen also holds certifications in Clinical Aromatherapy and 200-hour Yoga
teacher training.

Hey y’all. The Rummage Sale scheduled for this weekend is postponed until further notice. As soon as we have a date we will let you know.

Sometimes you just don’t get it together in time and things happen differently than you expect them to—great lesson for all of us in letting go of expectations.

We’re looking forward to gathering for 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, a community workshop rooted in slowing down and setting the tone for the year ahead.

Through movement, meditation, journaling, and guided visualization, we’ll explore a seasonal approach to manifestation—one that allows space for uncertainty, honesty, and change.

This gathering is about the pattern of practices that we weave through all our lives: returning again and again to what truly matters as the seasons, and life, shift around us.

Join us for a thoughtful, grounded approach to this season - an ancestral way of honoring the winter.

Our Story

In 2017, our founder, Kristin noticed a big difference between the Yoga she learned to teach and the Yoga she was seeing in local studios and on social media. She practiced Yoga in places that just didn't feel like they were very welcoming to bodies like hers. She is a person who might be considered "fat" ( although she prefers the term "adundant") and doesn't always have the same strength to lift her abundant body upside down nor does she have the space in her body to twist and move like the other people she practiced with. This often made her feel like she didn't belong. Modifications weren't offered to someone with her build because the people who were teaching and the other students definitely didn't look the same. Around this same time, Kristin was beginning to go through financial hardships and realized that everytime she considered opening her wallet to take a class, moths flew out of it. She was broke. The rising costs of group classes showed Kristin that she was abundant in weight and body mass, but definitely not in the cash it would take to practice in these studios. This led Kristin down a path of Yoga she didn't initially think she would go down, but soon she found out that she wasn't alone, and that there were MANY groups of humans who felt similarly. She saw a need and Seeds of Love Yoga was born.

In just a few short years we have redefined the word Accessible and continue to let it grow and shape our mission every day. The worls is full of humans who feel unwelcome, unseen, unwanted and unloved. Kristin wants everyone to feel like they belong, because they do.

Our mission to provide physically, financially and geographically accessible Yoga to every human is always growing and changing and now with Covid-19 we are again tested and need to change. We aim to cultivate a community of acceptance and accessibility whether it be online, in our brick and mortar or through community outreach. We want everyone to feel like they belong in a Yoga space regardless of how their body moves, what they look like, how much money they have, what they believe, or who they love. We feel Yoga, Meditation, and other holistic practices are a tremendous way to reconnect with oneself and with others through community and begin a path of healing.
