We celebrate the generations of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who have and continue to enrich America's history. Happy AAPI Month!

AAPI Trivia question: Where does America’s day begin?

Answer: Guam is the United States’ westernmost point. This means that it’s the first place where the sun rises on U.S. soil, approximately 14 hours ahead of the U.S. east coast. Incidentally, Hawaii is the last place on the earth to experience each day. The international date line falls between these two places.

The ACHE of MA is proud to commemorate Juneteenth, the day slavery officially ended in Texas and the United States, June 19th 1865, 2 years after President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. The ACHE of MA is extremely grateful for the many contributions of our Black colleagues. We pause to acknowledge the gains in equality that have been made since the first Juneteenth while recognizing and preparing for the extremely challenging work to pursue equality, especially within our healthcare organizations, for employees and patients.
