We are sad to announce the passing of Dr. Alfredo Nino on February 2nd. He was an extraordinary man. He co-founded Consulting Cardiologists in 1972. He was instrumental in guiding the practice, setting the groundwork for providing the highest quality, patient-focused care, in a compassionate manner. As shared in his obituary, "It is no small coincidence that he dedicated his life to the medical specialty of the heart as his heart was so incredibly big and full of love and life." Our Vascular team recently performed their 100th vein ablation. Venous ablation is a minimally invasive, outpatient treatment option to treat patients suffering from pain, heaviness, swelling, itching, throbbing, cosmetically unappealing or uncomfortable legs from varicose veins or chronic venous insufficiency. Our team is led by Dr. Zain Ahmed who specializes in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.
