Flossing and brushing your teeth well are vital parts of a good oral hygiene routine. Whichever you do first may not have a huge impact on your oral health, but it may give you a slight edge in removing plaque. you should floss before brushing your teeth. When you floss first, you remove more plaque from along and under the gum line before it turns into tartar. via: https://urlbit.com/t3fdU

Baby bottle tooth decay is caused by the frequent and long-term exposure of a child's teeth to liquids containing sugars. Among these liquids are milk, formula, fruit juice, sodas and other sweetened drinks. The sugars in these liquids pool around the infant's teeth and gums, feeding the bacteria in plaque. Every time a child consumes a sugary liquid, acid produced by these bacteria attack the teeth and gums. via: http://knowyourteeth.com/infobites/abc/article/?abc=c&iid=296&aid=1185

If you experience frequent headaches and pain in your lower jaw, check your posture and consult with us, your dentist, about temporomandibular disorder. Poor posture places the spine in a position that causes stress to the jaw joint. When people slouch or hunch over, the lower jaw shifts forward, causing the upper and lower teeth to not fit together properly, and the skull moves back on the spinal column. This movement puts stress on muscles, joints and bones and, if left untreated, can create pain and inflammation in muscles and joints when the mouth opens and closes. via: http://knowyourteeth.com/infobites/abc/article/?abc=h&iid=334&aid=1347

Can eating cheese prevent cavities? What about drinking wine? Take a look at these and other surprising cavity fighters. Avoiding sugary sweets and regular brushing and flossing top the list of steps to take to avoid tooth decay. But other lifestyle habits, and even some foods and beverages, play a role in cavity prevention, too — and some of these cavity fighters are downright surprising. Keep in mind that research is limited, and opinions on some are mixed, but as a second line of defense — after brushing and flossing for healthy teeth, of course — they’re worthy of consideration. via: https://urlbit.com/snisG

Patients often ask us what to do in a dental emergency. Do you think you are ready for the unexpected? If you have a dental emergency, you should: 1. Call your dentist. If it's during regular business hours, your dentist may be able to see you. If after hours, you can call your dentist's emergency number. 2. Go to an urgent care or emergency room. If you go to an emergency room, be sure to let the receptionist know it is a dental emergency so you can be seen more quickly. And, 3. When you see your dentist, be sure to let them know what happened and what kind of pain you are in so they can provide a treatment plan accordingly. via: https://urlbit.com/9HhJ5
