Happy (almost) Valentine's Day! How will you give yourself some TLC today? 💜

With all the doctor's appointments, keeping the house clean, making sure my mom is fed, warm, and cared for, I often don't have time to care for myself even in the most basic ways. I skip meals, showers, and constantly run on very little sleep. I know I need a break, but the guilt from taking one is all-consuming sometimes. This week, I got coffee with a friend. Just for an hour, but it filled my cup right back up. I can't express what just having a warm hug and a listening ear did for my mental health.

When you're caring for a loved one, showing yourself some love is often overlooked, and it shouldn't be. Caring for yourself, and getting support when you need it, helps you be a better caregiver for your loved one.
