On Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are deeply grateful for their sacrifice and for the families who carry their memory forward.

We also recognize those in our community who care for veterans every day. If you’re comfortable sharing, we invite you to tell us about a veteran who has made an impact on your life.

May is for fresh starts, and that starts with picking what helps you or your loved one bloom.

As you build a bouquet, you choose what fits: a little color, a little support, a little calm.

That's the idea behind a Care Plan, to help you navigate changing needs.

Every caregiving journey is different. Just because yours doesn’t look like your neighbor’s doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
Adria Thompson (Be Light Care Consulting), a speech-language pathologist and dementia care educator, emphasizes the importance of staying open‑minded when care looks different for our loved one than it does for others—or even different from what we originally expected. Care isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all, and flexibility matters.

Having a daily routine can make a big difference when you're a caregiver. From medications and meals to appointments and moments of rest, your loved ones often rely on consistency throughout the day. Creating a routine can help bring structure to busy days, reduce stress, and make it easier to balance caregiving with everything else you manage at home.

No two routines look the same, and that's okay. What does a typical day look like for you? Walk us through your daily rhythm, from morning to night.

Caregiving often means juggling work, family, and everything in between. Sometimes, it happens all at once. It can feel overwhelming.

That's why peace of mind matters. When you know your loved one is being cared for, the stress doesn't have to follow you everywhere.

With the right tools and support, caregiving can feel a little lighter.
Less juggling. More loving.

May is National Mental Health Month. Caregivers face not only the mental health challenges of the ones we’re caring for, but also our own struggles that are often amplified by our role as a caregiver.

Isolation and loneliness are all too common for caregivers leaving us with no one to talk to. If we do have someone to confide in, it can be difficult to open up about our experience.

Talking about what we’re going through is necessary to stay mentally healthy and emotionally balanced. So, how are you feeling today? What challenges are you facing right now?

Meet Jim, a 72-year old triathlete and track athlete who has an important message for all of us: when life gets you down, just keep moving forward. Thanks so much to National Senior Games for bringing so many amazing people together on the road to the 2027 games!

With Mother’s Day around the corner, we’re thinking about all the wonderful things they’ve done for us. Now many of us are caring for them.

Does the following experience sound familiar?

I knew going in being a caregiver wasn’t going to be an easy job, but I took it on because I love my mother. She raised me without a father. She held my hand and now I must hold hers. I cannot let her down. I look at my mother and she isn’t the same, but that’s alright. Dementia is really starting to take a toll on her. No matter how hard it gets, I am thankful she’s still here and I’m grateful to be able to help her.
