At Grace Recovery Services, we provide judgment-free, compassionate care tailored to each individual’s needs. Our treatment programs follow ASAM criteria and are CARF accredited, ensuring the highest standards of care every step of the way.

📍 1401 Madison Park Dr, Glen Burnie, MD 21061

Grace Recovery Services is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our clinical team. This role is essential to supporting individuals in recovery through evidence-based, client-centered care. Availability for evenings and weekends is required.

Position Summary:

•The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide individual and group counseling services to clients across our outpatient levels of care. The ideal candidate is recovery-oriented, detail-driven, and committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

Schedule:

•Evenings and weekends required
•Schedule based on program and client needs

Key Responsibilities:

•Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
Complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner
•Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
•Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and leadership to support client success
•Maintain compliance with state regulations, ethical standards, and Grace Recovery Services policies
•Promote a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment

Qualifications:

•Active Maryland certification required (one of the following): CAC-AD (Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol & Drug) ADT (Alcohol & Drug Trainee) or
CSC-AD (Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol & Drug)
•Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred
•Strong organizational and documentation skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
•Professional, compassionate, and ethical approach to care
