Dr. Fateh Hraky, Dr. Howard Popkin and Dr. Dennis P. Stern are board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. They offer a full spectrum of GYN care. Doctors have privileges at Medstar Harbor Hospital and UMMS Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Today’s forecast includes severe thunderstorms and possible tornado warnings, and while our providers are excellent at many things… storm chasing is not one of them. 🌪️

For the safety of our patients and staff, our office will be closing early today at 2:00 PM so everyone can get home before the weather really gets going.

If you have an appointment scheduled after 2 PM, our team will be reaching out to help get you rescheduled.

Stay safe, stay dry, and let’s all agree Maryland weather is a little dramatic sometimes.

Due to inclement weather, our office will be closed tomorrow morning. We are planning to open at 1:00 PM, weather permitting. A final decision regarding opening will be made by 11:00 AM. Please check this page for updates.

Our staff will begin calling all patients who are scheduled for morning appointments starting at 7:00 AM to assist with rescheduling.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Harvey Brilliant on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Dr. Brilliant was more than a physician — he was a mentor, a leader, and a friend to so many. His dedication to women’s health and to the patients and families he cared for over the years was unwavering. He built lasting relationships rooted in compassion, integrity, and genuine kindness.

To our team, he was a guiding force. To his patients, he was trusted and deeply respected. To many of us personally, he was like family.

We know this news will be difficult for the countless lives he touched throughout his career. His impact on this community cannot be overstated.

Due to the continued generosity of Mother Nature (and the ongoing lack of plowed roads), we’ve made the executive decision to remain closed tomorrow.

We love you. We miss you. But we also love not sliding into ditches on the way to work.

Snow Day Decision: Office Closed

After reviewing the road conditions and consulting the highly advanced forecasting system known as “looking outside,” we have officially decided to close the office for the day.

The roads are unsafe, the weather is committed to chaos, and we support our staff making it home alive.

We appreciate your understanding, your patience, your cooperation in not attempting Olympic-level winter driving for routine care and shared appreciation for staying alive.

We are hopeful that we will be able to return to business as usual tomorrow. So, if you “know a guy” at Anne Arundel County Public Works, please let him know we’re happy to provide staff addresses for a quick plow and a little salt on their roads. We’ll even throw in a free Pap smear and some donuts that have been sitting on the break room table since Friday.

We are so excited to welcome a new member to our family!

Please join us in celebrating the addition of Christina Bernard, CNM, IBCLC, C-EFM, to our team.

Christina Bernard is a Certified Nurse Midwife with over 14 years of experience caring for women and families in labor and delivery. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University and is board certified through the American Midwifery Certification Board. Christina is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and holds certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).

Originally from the Midwest, Christina began her healthcare journey after serving in the U.S. Navy, where she developed her commitment to service and leadership. Her years as a labor and delivery nurse deeply shaped her midwifery philosophy—centered on compassion, evidence-based care, and empowering women through every stage of their reproductive health journey.

Christina is passionate about providing individualized care that honors each woman’s values, preferences, and experiences—from pregnancy and birth to postpartum and beyond. She believes in meeting women where they are and creating a safe, supportive space for informed decision-making.

Outside of work, Christina is a proud mom of four who loves running, creative projects, and connecting with other women through storytelling, humor, and education.

We’re so excited for our patients to meet her — she’s already bringing so much heart and warmth to our practice. Welcome Home, Christina!❤️

The power in our area decided to take a little nap this morning. (Just like our office manager most mornings) We’re expecting it to wake back up around noon.
