Painful stretching can irritate discs and nerves. Not all back pain needs stretching—sometimes it needs stability and rehab first.

3️⃣ Don’t Rush to Get an X-ray or MRI ❌🩻
Most back pain doesn’t show up on imaging and findings often don’t match symptoms. Imaging without a plan can create fear instead of answers.

🩻 Think you need an X-ray for low back pain?
Most of the time… you don’t. ❌

The majority of low back pain cases are caused by bulging or irritated discs, not fractures, tumors, or structural damage that an X-ray can clearly show. X-rays only capture bones — they do NOT show discs, nerves, or soft tissue that are usually the real source of pain.

📉 What X-rays don’t tell us:
• Disc bulges or herniations
• Nerve irritation
• Muscle or ligament injuries
• Movement dysfunction

✅ What actually matters for low back pain:
• Detailed history
• Functional movement assessment
• Neurological testing
• Targeted rehab + progressive loading

Back pain doesn’t automatically mean something is “out of place” or broken — and it rarely requires surgery. The right evaluation and treatment plan matters far more than unnecessary imaging.

🚨 Signs you need more than “just an adjustment”

If pain keeps coming back, the problem isn’t that you need to be cracked harder 👀
