The Regency was honored to participate in the Alzheimer's Walk at Eisenhower Park — walking with purpose, love, and hope for the residents who inspire us every day.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff and the wonderful families who walked alongside us. Together, we were part of something truly powerful — with hundreds of thousands of dollars raised that day to support a cause close to all our hearts.

We brought the spirit of Oktoberfest to life as residents and staff dressed in traditional Lederhosen and Dirndls to celebrate together! From festive music and hearty laughter to lively décor and joyful camaraderie, the day was filled with fun, flavor, and fantastic memories.

It was a true taste of Bavarian culture—and we had so much fun, we’ve already celebrated twice this year! One round wasn’t enough—this kind of fun deserves an encore!

Congratulations to Blanca Rivas on Her Retirement After 24 Remarkable Years!

We were honored to celebrate Blanca Rivas, who dedicated 24 years of exceptional service as a housekeeper at The Regency. During what was planned as a celebration of her years of hard work, Blanca surprised everyone by announcing her retirement—a moment filled with both tears of joy and bittersweet emotion from her fellow coworkers.

As a special surprise, The Regency arranged for Blanca’s two daughters and grandson to join the luncheon celebration, creating an unforgettable moment of love and appreciation.

We were also thrilled to have Mayor Pam and Deputy Mayor Donna join us in honoring Blanca’s incredible accomplishments and legacy.

To commemorate her time with us, Blanca was presented with a beautiful watch, symbolizing her “time well spent” at The Regency, engraved with the heartfelt message: “Buena Suerte Blanca – The Regency.” Which means GOOD LUCK!

Our housekeeping and maintenance teams joined for a special luncheon in her honor, sharing stories, laughter, and warm memories from over two decades of friendship and teamwork. Big thank you to her co-worker (23 years) and best friend, Ana Banos for helping plan to days festivities and all of the special touches...including matching housekeeping outfits!!

Thank you, Blanca, for your unwavering dedication, kindness, and the legacy you leave behind. We wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter. You will be deeply missed!

KA-POW ALERT: “Avengers, assemble!” – Captain America/Avengers

Not all heroes wear capes—some plan awesome recreation events!
In celebration of National Comic Book Day, The Regency Senior Living hosted a special event featuring Marvel artist, Ed Murr, and our very own mini Comic-Con! Residents had an incredible time immersing themselves in the world of comics, creativity, and fandom.

Everyone got into the superhero spirit—special shoutout to our Wonder Woman, a.k.a. our amazing Recreation Director, Annmarie, and the fabulous Recreation team who brought the event to life. The best dressed title went to none other than Mr. Incredible himself, Resident Gary Wenger, as he unleased his inner superhero that day!

It was a truly memorable day filled with fun, laughter, and heroic energy. Super-powered fun for everyone!

Thanks to the wonderfully generous Trani family, today turned into a full-blown bubble-palooza in honor of their mother's Marianne’s birthday — and let’s just say, things got poppin’!

Residents and staff were treated to a bubble show like no other — we’re talking human-sized bubbles and lots of laughter.
Seriously, who knew getting trapped in a giant bubble could be so fun?

Happy Birthday, Marianne! 🎂🎈Your joy, spirit, and family’s kindness filled the room — and bubbles — with love! We love you!

Celebrating National Assisted Living Week with Fun, Prizes, and Appreciation!

This week, we celebrated National Assisted Living Week by honoring the heart of our community—our incredible residents, dedicated staff, and caring companions. Each day brought excitement as we hosted a raffle featuring the classic "Plinko" game from The Price is Right!

Winners took home amazing prizes, from a private dinner for four in our elegant dining room to "Lunch on Us" outing trips, Amazon gift cards, and even a 55-inch TV. One of our grand prize winners, Amanda, shared her joy saying, "I can take the TV off my wedding registry!" Congratulations to all of our winners!

We believe in celebrating the people who make our community so special—not just during Assisted Living Week, but every day. Thank you to everyone who makes this beautiful community feel like home. ❤️

Every Friday, Lorrie, Liz & Diane, our dedicated Recreation Assistants, lead our residents in engaging and creative art studio classes.

From watercolor to still life to sketches and mixed media—each week brings something new, inspiring that peaks our imagination and expression.

This season, Annmarie brought it all together by organizing The Regency’s Art Show, a beautiful culmination of the residents' artistic efforts.

Residents proudly walked through the exhibit, admiring both their own work and that of their peers. Champagne and hot hors d'oeuvres were served, adding a touch of elegance to the occasion.

Annmarie’s heartfelt toast was the highlight of the day, leaving everyone deeply moved and proud of their creative community.

REGENCYS CULINARY DELIGHTS ALERT: "You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just good food from fresh ingredients" - Julia Child

Chef Pat invited eight residents for a special luncheon, showcasing some of his favorite dishes. Each course came with a personal touch, as Chef Pat shared stories and secrets behind his creations.

The meal began with a glass of wine, perfectly paired with Pasta e Piselli — a nostalgic dish that brought a smile to Larry’s face as he exclaimed, “This is my favorite!”

Next came a beautifully plated Veal Milanese served over tender broccoli rabe and topped with fresh bruschetta. Jim chimed in appreciatively, “The veal was perfect!”

The grand finale? Homemade chocolate-covered cannolis that left everyone swooning — a sweet ending to a memorable afternoon.

While Chef Pat generously shared his culinary tips and tricks, we were sworn to secrecy — no Facebook spoilers allowed 😉.

To top it all off, residents took time to share a bit about themselves, sparking connections and laughter around the table. Full of delicious food and camaraderie, the residents left with full hearts (and stomachs, too).
