"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us" Joseph Campbell. Blooming Rose Healing is a space for exploring wellness in the Heartland. Each of our practitioners is dedicated to supporting you fully on your journey through wellness. We will be offering Spiritual Pilgrimages, Monthly Breath Circles, Health and Wellness Classes. We believe in the body's self-healing mechanism and work with you to establish optimal mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. Everyone carries pain from their past and a vision of who they can be. We are deeply committed to helping people find, feed and embrace those visions. In our work, we hold this space in which clients can resolve the energy drains and life style issues that cause blocks that hold them back. We help to move energy so that instead of holding pain in place, it can flow and feed and transform the soul.

When we learn to breathe correctly, it creates a path of the powerful essence of healing, deeper and more aligned with the Lymphatic system and our beautiful nervous system. A place where the chaos meets the calm.

Through conscious breathing—specifically WhaleBreathing—we begin to:
* Calm the nervous system (activating the parasympathetic "rest and restore" state)
* Release trapped emotional energy stored in the belly or chest
* Improve circulation and energy flow between the head, heart, and gut.

Here's a simple breath practice:

* Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
* As you inhale, allow yourself to meet the diaphragm. Feel how it responds to your attention, how it moves, opens, and awakens.
* Breathe in slowly through your nose.
* Let the middle of your body expand, the place where your diaphragm lives. Feel the ribs gently widen as the breath flows in.
* Exhale softly through your mouth, allowing the body to release.

Repeat for 5–7 breaths.

Feel the rhythm of the ocean within you. Allow the breath to carry you across the threshold of the diaphragm and know that it is safe to step through. Then gently ask:
• What opens?
• What softens?
• What moves through the door?

✨ Today I am celebrating 36 years of sobriety—and I thought, hmm, let’s be really honest about who I am today.

The hardest part of being sober is learning to see my defects with love. Recently, we had a family wedding, and when the pictures came back, I caught myself looking at me and thinking, hmm, I don’t like what I see. What a painful and unfair way to look at this human being—this woman who has walked through so much, found countless ways to rise above, and discovered her Soul.

And yet, there are still those tender moments when a part of me longs for love, attention, and acceptance right where she is. After my hip challenges and the stress I carried, I put on weight. I notice how easily people around me get caught in the obsession that being thin equals happiness. But I am not willing to go there. Do I want to be healthy? Absolutely. But I also want to honor my magnificent body and allow her to move at the pace she needs.

This is where my discomfort arises—when I see the pictures and notice the rolls. That old inner voice whispers, You’re not good enough because you’re overweight, not skinny, not beautiful. I feel the sadness of that story, and then I choose to shift it.

I tell that part of me:
You are beautiful, authentic, and amazing. I’m sorry you cannot see it yet, but I do. I appreciate your honesty, even when it’s hard to align with who I truly am. I love you for your courage and strength, even for noticing the rolls. I’m sorry that we age, but let’s do it with grace. Please forgive the critic within me. Thank you for showing me your vulnerability and truth.

36 years sober—and still learning every day how to love all of me, inside and out. 💙

Meet the world not with fear, but with the healing presence of oneness. It's not about fixing or judging, but about holding space from a place of love, allowing your vibration to reach out into the world through conscious breathwork and presence. Perhaps one small ray of your light can reach someone who needs it. Darkness isn't here to hurt us but to teach us what it truly means to be human, to be connected, and to shine our light without judgment, just love.

Discover how WhaleBreathing can help you release fear so you can come from a place of love and compassion. Contact me, we have group classes and private individual sessions. 🔗 in bio.

Did you know suppressed emotion lead to dis-ease on a body, soul and spirit level.

Imagine a pressure cooker sitting on the stove. Inside, steam builds as the heat rises. If the lid is locked tight and there’s no release valve, the pressure becomes dangerous—eventually it may whistle, rattle, or even explode.

This is what suppressed emotions are like. When we push down sadness, anger, fear, or grief, they don’t disappear—they build inside, quietly gathering force. Our bodies and minds hold that pressure, showing up as anxiety, tension, illness, or sudden emotional outbursts.

Now, picture WhaleBreathing as the safe release valve.
Just as the cooker hisses gently to let steam escape, conscious WhaleBreathing opens space for emotions to move, soften, and flow. With each deep, heart-centered breath, we allow built-up energy to release in a steady, healing way—without explosion, without harm.

The oceanic rhythm of WhaleBreathing invites us to become like the whale: surfacing to release what no longer serves, then returning to the deep with calm and strength. This practice transforms the “pressure” into clarity, balance, and peace.

✨ In short:
• Pressure cooker = suppressed emotion (heat, buildup, danger if unexpressed)
• WhaleBreathing = release valve (safe, rhythmic, healing release)

Join John Kammas with reflexology and Mary Rondenet for WhaleBreathing on 8/25 at the Gathering Light House in Lombard at 7:00 pm

Here's a powerful breath exercise you can do at any time and anywhere. It will allow for expansion and connection to your soul. If you give yourself a few moments to breathe, you will raise your vibration, clear your mind and open the doorway to creation.

1. Take a moment and just breathe. Notice what you notice without judgement. Allow your breath to expand through your body. As you exhale, visualize a release of what is not needed… stress, overwhelm, worry. Take four to five breaths to connect.

2. Place your hands on your diaphragm, at the base of your ribs. Feel your diaphragm expand and contract as you breathe.

3. Visualize your diaphragm as a balloon. As you inhale, the balloon expands in your chest, middle and lower belly. Allow your inhale to be long and your exhale to be shorter, yet gentle.

4. As you connect to the rhythm of this breath, allow your body to set the pace. Relax and let go ....

This simple exercise on a regular basis can help bring you clarity and peace. 🔗 in bio for all the details on our classes and private sessions or send me a message.

What my Clients teach me is triggers happen anywhere!

Why does the body experience anxiety?

Anxiety often arises when we resist change or when an unconscious memory is stirred. Many times, these are inner child triggers—moments from the past where our younger self felt unsafe, unseen, or powerless. When these old imprints are activated, the body shifts into a fear or flight response, and the breath becomes shallow—or stops altogether.

This lack of breath creates an imbalance in the body, leading to a buildup of carbon dioxide. It is the body’s way of speaking to us, whispering: Breathe.

The body longs for balance and harmony. Like the calm in the center of a hurricane, it calls us to return to our center. When we breathe deeply, we are not only calming the nervous system, we are also soothing the inner child within—reminding them they are safe, loved, and held.

A lovely Prayer for your inner child self!!🐳❤️
