Many of my patients struggle with vein disease which often manifests as painful leg heaviness and fatigue. I sat down with Dr. McWilliams of McWilliams Vein Center the other day to get further educated. Here’s what I learned….
📢 a diseased/dysfunctional vein in the leg puts undue stress on the other veins…which causes inflammation and swelling (and PAIN)
📢When the diseased vein is treated, overall circulation is improved which reduces inflammation and pain.
💡A consultation with Dr. McWilliams includes expert-level ultrasound evaluation of the veins and a detailed explanation of treatment options. What I really appreciate about him is that he is PATIENT-centered…which means he is conservative in his approach most concerned about the well-being of the patient (not his bottom line). That means he is not going to recommend unnecessary procedures. 👍

Community Acupuncture patient success story…female with jaw pain and constant clenching/tension during the day. After one community clinic session, went the entire week with no jaw pain and no awareness of daytime clenching.
