🌱Yoga is a calibrated balance between tension and relaxation — a rhythmic shift that engages both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

🌱At Life’s Tread, each class is intentionally structured to move the body through activation (effort) and deactivation (release), gradually preparing the nervous system for Savasana, the final resting pose.

🌱This deep state of rest isn’t just symbolic — it’s backed by neuroscience.

🌱In Savasana, the parasympathetic nervous system dominates, lowering cortisol levels, reducing heart rate, and promoting cellular repair. Brain wave activity shifts toward alpha and theta states, associated with deep relaxation and emotional processing. This is when integration happens — physically, mentally, and neurologically.

🌱It helps stretch the muscles in your shoulders and neck releasing the stress in this area.
