We are pleased to welcome our newest resident to Silver Lakes Senior Living, David Sanders!

David brings with him an impressive professional background as a technical writer for NASA, where he specialized in taking advanced technical concepts and communicating them clearly, accurately, and in a way that made them accessible and useful to a wide range of audiences.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, David has a passion for repairing automobiles and enjoys working on old cars—bringing both skill and nostalgia to his favorite hobby.

He is a proud family man, with 2 sons, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren who are a very important part of his life.

We are excited to have David join our community and look forward to getting to know him and sharing many great moments together at Silver Lakes Senior Living.

We are delighted to welcome our newest resident to Silver Lakes Senior Living, Karen Parris! 💙

Karen brings with her a rich and inspiring background of service, creativity, and school spirit. She previously served in several roles at Jacksonville State University, where she was also proudly a member of the legendary Southerners Marching Band.

Her dedication to community service shines through her time as a Community Service Director for the Girl Scouts of the USA, where she helped guide and inspire young girls in leadership and service.

In her free time, Karen enjoys gardening and painting—two beautiful hobbies that reflect her creativity and love for nature. 🌿🎨

We are so excited to have Karen join our Silver Lakes family and look forward to the joy, stories, and warmth she brings to our community!

What a fun-filled week in our community! 🌿✨ Residents had a great time lending a hand—and cheering on—our landscaping team as they worked to refresh our outdoor spaces. A few of our residents and staff even teamed up to give what they lovingly call “The Island” a brand-new look!

Cruella and her pups took over the Glencoe Senior Center this morning! 🐾🎭
The Disney-themed health fair was full of fun, laughter, and a little bit of mischief as we brought 101 Dalmatians to life. Residents enjoyed getting into character with adorable puppy paw prints painted on their faces. Wendy, from Sales and Marketing, stole the show as Cruella herself!
From spotted smiles to playful moments, it was a paw-sitively wonderful day celebrating health, happiness, and a touch of Disney magic. ❤️🖤🐶✨
