We’re grateful to everyone who joined us for Dementia Friendly Day at the Chicago Botanic Garden today!

In recognition of World Alzheimer’s Month, our team — Emily Mysel, LCSW, Senior Service Manager, and Katie Laabs, Clinical Intern — was joined by community partners from Glencoe Public Safety and the Chicago Botanic Garden. Together, we shared resources, answered questions, and connected with individuals living with dementia and their care partners.

FSG and the Chicago Botanic Garden have been proud partners in offering meaningful nature-based experiences for individuals living with dementia and their care partners, helping foster connection, comfort, and community.

If you have a loved one diagnosed with dementia, consider joining our Dementia Caregiver Support Group. This monthly meeting is facilitated by FSG’s Emily Mysel, LCSW, and Judy Altman, LCSW, from Guardian Home Health Care.
