The State of California recently adopted Diwali as an officially observed state holiday. In past years, a few other states have also signed into law similar adoptions.
To most persons Diwali might be misinterpreted as just another ethnic, cultural, and foreign (or even religious) holiday or celebration. Diwali is part of the Vedic Sciences and literally it means dīpa (lamp) and āvalī (row) (Sanskrit). This "row of lights" represents the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Its very ancient meaning has inspired many other traditions, such the Jewish 🕎 menora and Christmas lights or tree 🎄, among others. Anatomically, Diwali represents the central nervous system and esoterically the colorful chakras.
Vedic Sciences are rooted in universal laws and principles, scientific plus subtle. They teach us how to live in harmony with nature, keep the body & mind in balance, and to see the light in you as the same light in the other ("Consciousness" or "namaste").
In a world 🌎 convoluted with what seems ever increasing chaos, believe it or not (although slowly 🐌), we as humanity are making progress. The next 50 years will be challenging but Light will prevail fortuitously over Darkness. First, win the inner war of your Consciousness vs Ego, then you will help thousands. It requires daily practice until it becomes "muscle memory" and to apply it daily.
May this Diwali bring light, health, and wisdom, as the biggest wealth to you and your loved ones. All else will follow. Blessings namaste 🙏
