Say hello to Dr. Marquard!

After growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Marquard traded the clouds for sunshine and never looked back. He earned his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale and completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Arizona in downtown Phoenix.

Known for being both thorough and efficient, Dr. Marquard brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to every visit. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at both Midwestern University and the University of Arizona, helping shape the next generation of physicians. He has a special expertise in treating Ehlers-Danlos, providing knowledgeable and compassionate care for patients with complex connective tissue conditions.

Outside the office, he is the ultimate “guy’s guy” who enjoys golf, cooking, smoking meats, and spending time with friends and the love of his life, Dr. Aspen Calkins.

As the owner and leader of Thunderbird Family Medicine, Dr. Marquard has built a practice rooted in expertise, efficiency, and genuinely great care.

We are excited to welcome Christina back to Thunderbird Family Medicine. She will be returning from maternity leave on February 9 and is looking forward to caring for our patients again.

Christina is an Arizona native who earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from Boston University and her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University. She is passionate about preventative care and patient education, helping patients make informed decisions about their health. Outside of work, Christina loves traveling, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband and Maltipoo puppy.
