🧺 Little Routines, Big Wins
Independence doesn’t happen all at once. It’s built morning by morning, chore by chore, choice by choice.

From putting on shoes to clearing the table, these small daily moments are where growth lives. And the more consistent the routine, the more confident your child becomes.

At home, ABA can look like:

👚 Offering two choices for getting dressed
đź‘€ Using a visual schedule to walk through bedtime
👏 Giving praise when your child completes a task on their own
🔢 Breaking down big tasks into smaller, doable steps

It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress. And every time your child does something just a little more independently, you’re seeing ABA in action.

The kids at our Broadmor clinic learned all about the school bus 🚌 this week as part of Community Helpers week!

Gary the bus driver from the Rutherford County Transportation Department stopped by and showed off the bus. The kids got to learn how it works, and what it's like to drive it. There was also plenty of horn honking!

This lesson was especially helpful as several of our kids will be heading to school in the fall.

This might look like silliness (and it is)…
But it’s also connection, trust, and progress in action.

As an RBT, you get to turn moments like this into meaningful growth for a child and for yourself.

No experience? No problem. We’ll train you, support you, and cheer you on every step of the way.

If you’re ready to laugh, learn, and make a real difference, we’re hiring. 💙

“Adjusting takes time, but the results can be life-changing.”

Our Spotlight Story this month features Julian. He's been attending our Professional Park location for more than a year.

His mom credits his transformation to the staff at Autism ETC, including his RBT, Jakob.

“Jakob has been wonderful with Julian. They’ve built a trusting, supportive relationship that means so much to us.”

You can read more of Julian's story on our website: https://autismetc.com/news/spotlight-story-julian-cannon/

Our Broadmor clinic lit up with excitement today as the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department stopped by!

Our kids got to explore fire gear and the truck, learn about life on the job, and ask some curious (and adorable!) questions like, “What’s your favorite ice cream?”

We’re so grateful for community partners who inspire our learners to dream big. ❤️🔥

We had another special visit this week from some real-life heroes!

The kids at our Harnett Court clinic got to meet EMS workers from Montgomery County. The kids got to sit on the gurney and explore inside the ambulance.

We're so grateful to our community helpers and can't thank them enough for all they do đź’™

If your child loves water, you’re not alone. And it’s okay to feel a little on edge, especially in the summer.

Here are a few things to consider:

🛟 Wandering toward pools, lakes, or even bathtubs can happen quickly. Supervision is everything.

🛟 Secure fences, alarms, and locks aren’t overkill - they’re safety tools.

🛟 Swim lessons designed for children with autism can teach life-saving skills.

🛟 Practice water safety routines just like any other skill with visuals, repetition, and praise.

It’s not about fear, it’s about giving your child the freedom to enjoy water safely.

Fireworks Can Be a LOT
If your child has sensory sensitivities, the 4th of July might feel more stressful than celebratory.

A few things might help: noise-canceling headphones, a weighted blanket, or watching fireworks from inside the car, where it’s quieter. Some families create a “fireworks plan” together ahead of time so nothing feels like a surprise.

And sometimes, skipping the show entirely is the best choice, and that’s more than okay.

Whatever you do, trust your instincts. You know your child best.
