As part of our commitment to our strategic goals to drive performance, develop leadership and achieve growth, Front Porch has acquired ARCH to serve as our in-house development company. ARCH will be responsible for overseeing and managing our annual routine capital improvement projects as well as development and repositioning projects for Front Porch communities. In addition, ARCH will continue to support external clients.

Active Aging Week at our communities exemplified the different dimensions of wellness. Residents enjoyed games including ping pong, chair volleyball and badminton for physical wellness, relaxed during a sound bath for spiritual wellness and attended a wellness fair as part of intellectual wellness. From a talent show to a drumming circle and a Golden Gate Bridge walk, Active Aging Week is always a fun-filled week that boosts our social connection.

Oktoberfest at our communities was filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks and festive music. Each community made it their own with special events and celebrations, including enjoying Oktoberfest on the garden patio and holding a stein-holding contest.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating some of our incredible team members and what their heritage means to them. Liz Avalos, Connections Program Manager, shares:

"As a proud Mexican American, my heritage shines through in everything I do—especially when I cook. In my culture, everyone is welcome at the table, and no one leaves hungry (in fact, you’ll probably go home with leftovers!). Our traditions are full of color, flavor, and strong family values. I grew up dancing ballet folklórico and carrying those vibrant roots into my everyday life.
My heritage has also shaped how I serve others. In Mexican culture, you often hear phrases like “a tus órdenes” (at your service), “aquí para servirte” (here to serve you), and “con gusto” (with pleasure)—expressions that reflect how naturally we care for others. That spirit of service inspires me every day in my work with Well Connected Español, where I have the privilege of supporting our community of Spanish speakers. I’m deeply proud of my culture, my people, and the joy and connection we bring wherever we go."
