It’s true that love and grief are intertwined. When we love someone, we open ourselves up to the possibility of losing them, which can be very painful. But it’s also what makes life worth living. Without love, life would be empty and meaningless. So even though grief can be difficult to bear, it’s a small price to pay for the joy that love brings.

Becoming an end of life doula has been an incredibly eye opening experience for me. One of my favorite books along the way so far was one that I got in class called, "On Grief and Grieving" by Elisabeth Kubler Ross and David Kessler. I recommend it to all of my clients, as well.
