The ArizOTA, as a proactive, dynamic and responsive organization, will be a driving force in advocating for:

1.System change which supports creative member involvement through education, mentoring and resource provision;
2.Legislative and reimbursement issues that effect quality of life and consumer ability to access occupational therapy services, and;
3.Community involvement through marketing,

consumer advocacy, support of emerging arenas and collaborating with healthcare systems, educational agencies, business and industry.

Did you know your Arizona OT Community Leaders and Educators founded the Arizona Occupational Therapy Experiential Experience Consortium (AZOTEEC) with ArizOTA? The goal of the Consortium is to collaborate and promote excellence among all of programs with participation from both Academic Fieldwork Coordinators and Doctoral Capstone Coordinators in OT and OTA programs! 🌵🏜️🤩

The first annual ArizOTA Student Conclave was a huge success with a fantastic turnout of OT and OTA Students that visited from all over Arizona!

Thank you Dr. Vikram Pagpatan for your keynote speech, and
our student panelists, Emma Hoverson, Levi Lord, Irene Kwangaba, and Megan Contreras, for taking the time to meet and speak with students during our "OT Student Dialogue" Panel, sharing experiences, providing insight, and empowering students. And of course, thank you Rochelle Reiss for being our student host for the panel!
Last and certainly not least, thank you Dr. Briana Bonner and Janette Cantu for hosting and planning this event along with the ArizOTA Conference Planning Committee.

Great job everyone! We hope to see you next year.

Thank you to our student poster presenters for their wonderful contribution to research in the OT profession! From Adaptive sports, pelvic health, and assistive technology, the variety of topics brought crowds this morning at Creighton University during the 2024 ArizOTA Fall Conference. We are immensely proud of them! .ot

Tomorrow is our first ArizOTA Student Conclave with a variety of student panelists that have completed or are currently completing their respective OT/OTA programs.

Students are encouraged to ask panelists questions on a variety of topics involving student leadership, fieldwork, capstone, and transitioning to becoming an independent practitioner.
The OT Student Dialogue will take place from 1:00-2:30pm. Scan the QR code to ask your question beforehand or wait to ask during the panel!
