The patient presented for revision rhinoplasty and revision breast surgery. She was displeased with the wide distance between her breasts and the left breast being firmer and higher than the right. Findings were consistent with capsular contracture of the left breast. The prior implants were placed in the submuscular space.

Intraoperatively, the left implant was found to be ruptured. Both implants were removed. New Motiva implants were placed over the muscle (under the muscle fascia), resulting in improved symmetry and a narrower cleavage.

Advantages of Motiva implants include:

- lower incidence of capsular contracture
- reduced animation deformity (distortion of the breast with muscle contraction)
- less postoperative pain and lower risk of bleeding

Lip lift was performed to shorten the upper lip and increase its volume. Prior to the procedure, the upper teeth did not show. The result is right after procedure. The sutures are absorbable and do not need to be removed. This procedure was done under local anesthesia. It can also be combined with other procedures under general anesthesia.

This patient underwent a difficult revision rhinoplasty. Her nasal skin was thick, which limited how refined the tip could be made. It took 3 years for nearly all swelling to go away, and we also did steroid injections in the tip of the nose to help reduce the thickness of the skin.
