Self-Advocacy Board of Los Angeles County We aim to support the rights of people with developmental disabilities through education, influence, and civil action. We are all about education and action!

Our aim is to educate the public and decision-makers about issues of importance to people with disabilities and to take action on behalf of people with developmental disabilities when our rights are threatened.

Something I get asked fairly often on twitter, or during events is “what does good support look like”. It’s a good question because support can vary so much. I require quite a lot of support day to day, but other people may need more focused support or support in different areas.
