Reynolds Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit, acute-care community hospital located in Glen Dale, WV. We are governed by a 25-member volunteer board of directors and licensed for 90-beds and a 20-bed Skilled Nursing Unit. The hospital began as God’s Providence Home, an old farmhouse converted to an infirmary by B.M. In 1899, Archdeacon Spurr founded the hospital through funding provided by Emily Van Buren Reynolds, daughter of U.S. President Martin Van Buren, in memory of her husband and sons. The current facility was constructed in 1963. Expansion and modernization continue with the most recent addition of a new women’s health center. Few elements of a community can impact the quality of life like practical, accessible health care. At Reynolds Memorial Hospital, our mission is to provide quality care to patients and the community at a reasonable cost. We are proud of our reputation for compassion and sincere concern. Through shared values and a creative approach to improving service, the professional staff at Reynolds Memorial Hospital have demonstrated this commitment: to remain focused on our tradition of caring and to assure the quality service as health care evolves. Reynolds Memorial Hospital RN's, Tashina Brothers and Stacey Gilli, both perinatal transition coordinators, attended a Community Conversation event at Wheeling University this past Tuesday to help build and continue dialogue around abuse recovery in West Virginia. These experienced medical professionals bring valuable insight to helping heal our community and state. In their current roles, these OB/GYN RN's assist our high-risk OB patients with any needs during their pregnancies, through 6-week post-partum. We're thankful for employees being an active part of our community!

This week, we celebrated another Blue Ribbon Breakfast at RMH! When you see a blue ribbon on an employee’s badge, it means they’re in their first 90 days with us. Once they cross that milestone, we celebrate with breakfast and a special visit from Hospital President Tony Martinelli, who checks in to hear about their experiences so far. It’s always a meaningful time to connect and celebrate our newest team members. Congratulations to all!
