Dr. Diana Heard-Vaughn is a native of Detroit, MI. She earned her medical degree from Medical College of Ohio in 2002. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hurley Medical Center, a division of Michigan State University, in Flint, MI in 2006 Dr. Heard-Vaughn, has satisfied the requirements of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Board Certified in OB/GYN. Her interests include care of the pregnant patient, preventative care, and community outreach.

We are excited to welcome Claudia Teran, APRN-FNP, to the Glendale OBGYN team! 🌸🤍

Claudia is a dedicated and compassionate women’s healthcare provider with over 16 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. A foreign physician graduate from La Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, Claudia spent more than six years practicing medicine in Colombia before bringing her expertise to the United States. She now proudly serves patients in Glendale, Arizona as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.

Claudia offers comprehensive care for women of all ages, specializing in:
• Prenatal and postpartum care
• Annual wellness exams
• Family planning and contraception (including IUD and Nexplanon insertions)
• Management of irregular periods, PCOS, and menopausal symptoms with both hormonal and non-hormonal treatments
• In-office gynecologic procedures

Fluent in both Spanish and English, Claudia creates a welcoming and supportive environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for.

🌟 Welcome to the Team, Shannyn! 🌟

We’re thrilled to welcome Shannyn, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), to the Glendale OBGYN family!

Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Shannyn moved to Phoenix in 2018 to escape the cold and now calls the desert home with her husband, three children, and their three dogs. 🏜️🐾

She brings over 10 years of OB experience and a deep passion for patient-centered care. Shannyn believes in truly listening to her patients, making sure they feel seen, heard, and empowered in every step of their health journey.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alverno College and went on to receive her Midwifery degree from Frontier Nursing University.

Her mission? To educate and support women so they feel confident and informed when making decisions about their care. 💜

Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring new recipes, off-the-grid camping, racing around in her Rzr, or floating down the Salt River.
